Single Currency Middle East

Do you think there could be a Latin American Union similar to how the EU works?

We already have:
1. European Union
2. African Union
3. Asian Pacific Union (well not yet, but it has been proposed by Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd)
4. Russian Union (currently, there is some type of agreement between Russia and Belarus I believe, I have to check this out more)
5. Gulf Cooperation Council (Gulf Coast, Middle East, they recently announced a plan to create a single currency for the entire Gulf Coast by 2010)
6. North American Union (idea not recognized yet, but it has been talked about, little evidence apart from the Security and Prosperity Partnership to back this up, probably won’t happen for a long time if ever)
7. American Union has been talked about as well, distant, way far off, probably won’t happen (this would be for all of the American states)
Correction: on the American Union, I meant all the countries in the entire Western Hemisphere, sorry about that.

They already have one,but it’s about as dysfunctional as the African union
