World Cup Holiday Boom
Unless you have had your head buried in the sand this month, you will know that England went out of the world cup dismally, after a 4 – 1 defeat to our rivals, Germany.
But the failing travel industry experienced a resurrection, as thousands of disappointed fans escaped the gloom brought on by the loss of the coveted cup, and fled for sunnier climes. The news is welcomed by tour operators, and one low cost travel operator reported a forty percent rise in hits on the sites in a twenty four hour period. Travel republics website crashed, and their spokesperson said, “It is as if the whole country needs a holiday to recover from a disastrous World Cup campaign,” said Kane Pirie, managing director of Travel Republic. “The top destination is Spain, so perhaps long- suffering England fans intend to adopt a new country in the hope of World Cup glory.”
Ebookers reported the most popular destinations to be New York, Las Vegas and Paris, with Expedia remarking that Bangkok was a popular destination for their customers, followed by Majorca and turkey.
The post office reported the best places for UK travellers to get best value for money as being Bulgaria and Spain, “Our research shows that Bulgaria, Croatia and the Eurozone are the only places where the pound buys more foreign currency than a year ago,” Ms Munro said. “When you combine that with the low cost of living in eastern Europe and Euro zone countries like Spain and Portugal, it makes an unbeatable proposition for disappointed fans.”

Croatian currency is Kuna. Not Euro. Croatia is not even in the EU. If some shops accept Euros it’s their own choice.
Are you saying you have a 50,000 kuna note? Cos that can’t be right. The largest Kuna note is 1000kn.
Maybe you have something outdated, or forged? Whatever it is, it’s not valid.
